Darkmatters awarded France 2030

Darkmatters, specialist in Realtime Virtual Production and located at their 15,000m2 (162,000 sqft) studios South of Paris, is one of the awarded projects of the France 2030 – « La Grande fabrique de l’image » plan. Supported by the French Government, the CNC et la Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, 68 projects in training, film studios and post-production, out of 175 submitted, were selected in France for a financial support of 350 millions of euros.

Announced on the 19th of May 2023 at the Festival de Cannes  by the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul Malak, Darkmatters’ project has drawn attention for its aim to give productions shooting in France access to the latest technologies, via its 15,000m² studios and consultancy services. 

Under the impulsion of the French President and Government, France is embarking on an ambitious initiative to boost the film industry and position the country among the world leaders in filming and digital production.

« Thanks to France 2030, we will be able to continue to invest in high-quality facilities, innovation, sustainable development and the deployment of cutting-edge technologies, » explain Romain Cheminade, Jean-Louis Eude and Yaniss Boulanouar, all three co-founders of Darkmatters.
